On July 1, 2025, the CEO of Karak Climate Action (KCA), representing the vibrant voice of the Pakistan Youth Parliament, stepped into the hallowed halls of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Proposal: A Law to Protect and Plant Trees
In a powerful moment during the meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary, the KCA CEO laid out a visionary proposal, one that could reshape the environmental landscape of our province:
“We urge the Assembly to introduce legislation that will protect existing trees, enforce restrictions on illegal tree cutting, and launch a province-wide tree plantation drive, especially in underdeveloped and climate-vulnerable areas.”
